Good (GREAT) Idea: Strawberry & Goat Cheese Crostini w/ Balsamic Drizzle
I am over the strawberry situation at the MCG.
I never thought I would say that, but it's just too much picking and bending for me (poor me), and they keep coming.
I froze some of the cakes and muffins, but if you don't eat them within 48 hours, they rot.
Here is a great idea for weekend crostini (and yes, I ate the bread, I eat bread galore on the weekends, as I said the other day).
The gorgeous loaf was baked by my friend Dan at Razza in Jersey City.
Take some good rustic bread and slice it. Toast it if it's a little stale and spread some chevre (goat's cheese) on top.
Slice some fresh, ripe strawberries and fan them on top.
Drizzle w/ that store bought balsamic syrup (whoever invented that stuff is a genius!).
This is like cheesecake on bread.
Amazing stuff.

Tried resending it today.
BTW, I usually check in with Marie at Proud Italian Cooks via the link on your site when she does something new. However, the link on your side bar won't let me connect to her. Then I googled her on the internet and it said Internet Explorer could not connect. Sorry to bug you with this but I am wondering if there is something wrong with Marie's site. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Marie's link seems to be working fine now try it again
