3 years older
This blog is 3 years old today.
Who'd a thunk it that one day I would graduate from being an antiques dealer to a food blogger. (Hmmmm, not sure what kind of elevated status that is).
I went from documenting my recipes so my friends would stop bothering me, to still yelling at my friends that "I have a food blog, don't ask me to plan your party menu!".
To taking pictures with my cell phone camera to taking pictures with just a better cell phone camera.
Boy, has this blog evolved.
I still use the same polka dot format (I hate change), and I have most of the same readers and friends from when I first started out. Nothing like growing a brand.
I blog first thing in the morning and after dinner in the evening, when I have the most creative energy.
I like Tarts on Tuesdays, Crostini on Friday, Meatless Mondays and a cake or 2 on a Saturday. Sunday is my day off.
Not much is going to change here in the 4th year of Stacey Snacks, so I hope you will stay for the ride.
As with all of my blog anniversaries, I am having a giveaway.
3 faithful readers will receive one of my favorite books Frankies' Spuntino Kitchen Companion & Cooking Manual.
Leave a comment telling us your favorite recipe that you have made from this blog Stacey Snacks, (just in case you thought you were at Smitten Kitchen), and if you have never made a recipe, you can still leave a random comment anyway! Winners will be announced on Saturday, July 9.
Thanks for checking out my daily recipes & nonsense over the past 3 years!
Love, Stacey

Speaking of recipes, I love your lamb shanks and also French lentil salad and have made both for my blog. I would have a hard time choosing, but then there's your watermelon and feta salad.....too many choices, too little time.
Stacey' Snacks rocks. My morning doesn't seem right without checking in to see what you've whipped up the night before. Looking forward to another great year.

I am a new reader but like your blog and can't wait the new posts !

Happy 3rd yr. anniversary! Your's is one of the blogs I always check out on a daily basis.
Our fave recipe from you has to be the pasta with chickpeas. I make it at least once a week because my youngest and I love it and it always reminds me of my Italian Mom who made many recipes like this! Simple, delicious and healthy.
On to year 4!
Susan
Love your blog! You inspired me to start my own two months ago after leaving the corporate world.
My still favorite recipe (used once a week) is the bacon basket eggs. Although, after making ricotta blueberry cake this past weekend, there may be a tie.
Good luck in year 4.

We luv your Easy Raspberry Buttermilk Cake. I've used it with Blackberries and Blueberries. It's ever so easy and such a delicious cake.
We picked the Blueberries for your BEST Damn Blueberry Ricotta Cake Ever. I forgot to print the recipe on friday, but am ready to make it tonight. Just know from your review and looking at the pictures it's going to be fantastic.
You have done a beautiful job that has given so much pleasure and information to so many people.
Congratulations and love,
Mil
I just recently made your caesar sald again but this time with grilled romaine. It was a huge hit...again!

Romance and Arterial Sclerosis! Keep the ideas coming Stacy. Congrats on Tre Anni! Jim from Montville.
One of my fav recipes was your custard apple pie. It's been devoured each time I've made it.
I also made your summer strawberry cake, but used cherries because that's what I had. It was still delicious!
I'm looking forward to making the ricotta berry cake now
Happy bloggy birthday Stacey

I loved the pan bagnat that you blogged about several months ago. I still have a little tepanade left so I think I will make it again.
Thanks again for the great recipe blog and beautiful photos.
I want to take my daughter to NYC to the pizza places you have written about. I know we'll love it.
My favorite recipe from your blog by far is Louisa's ricotta cake.
Oh man was it something delicious!
Look forward to your 4th year :)
It's hard to choose just one favorite, but I have to say I loved your crab cakes. I made them for Mother's Day brunch with eggs benedict on top. I also love the chicken drumsticks with the two mustards and wine. And a million others I can't mention!
When I think of all the incredible recipes you've shared, your family and travel stories, funny commentaries - well, you've been a delight to know. I've learned so much from you! My cookbook collection has grown with the recommendations you've shared! Thank you for it all.
And, I've told my friends and family about you and frequently get: "is this from Stacey?!"
My favorites are the "fantastiQUE" Blueberry Ricotta Cake, which was inhaled yesterday by my family at our 4th of July picnic. My ravenous teen-age nephews split the last piece for their 2nd and it was gone in a flash. Of course, your date bread is wonderful, as are the yummy salads and anything with figs.
Can't resist the summer recipes with basil, tomatoes and fresh veggies. But, my favorite was your '10 recipe titled: "What's for Dinner,'Spicey Honey'? Chicken Thighs"! ha.
Cheers to you for a wonderful 4th year, Stacey!

I have made many of your recipes, but I must say that the cherry chutney was one of the highlights. Since cherries are in season again soon, I can't wait for a repeat taste. Side note: your best tip ever was the grill pan. That thing is perfect!
Hugs to you~Xoxoxo
I love getting your blog in my email every day! I use your recipes often. The most recent one I've enjoyed is Orzo salad, which has been useful in dealing with the produce out of my garden. It's so versatile!
To say what is my favorite would be hard to do!
Keep up the good work!

Broccoli bites for kids, various tarts, and caprese on skewers(?) are some of our favorites. We continue to be amazed at your energy and enthusiasm. Keep it up!
