Easy Appetizer: Blue Cheese Stuffed Figs w/ Prosciutto

fig cheese

There is only about another week or so to score some fresh figs at my local farmers market, so I hurried up to make this easy appetizer for Friday night.

You can serve these easy apps cold, or grill them for a minute and drizzle w/ olive oil & balsamic vinegar for a different taste.

Fresh Figs Stuffed w/ Blue Cheese & Wrapped in Prosciutto:

Black Mission RIPE figs, sliced in half
A good wedge of Blue or Roquefort Cheese (Gorgonzola works well too)
Slices of good quality Prosciutto di Parma

Lay a small piece of blue cheese on a fig half and wrap with the ham and serve.
It doesn't get any easier or better than this.

Enjoy!

Oh yes. I have some St. Agur in the fridge. Just need to pick up the prosciutto and I'm there. I think I'll go the grill route as you suggest. Happy weekend.

Too bad the fig season is so short!

I haven't had a TGIF cocktail party with my sweetheart in a month. I'm stopping for these ingredients and a bottle of Prosecco. We are celebrating the start of our vacation. Terrific snack!
Yum! Funny I just came home with figs, Stilton and prosciutto! Making them for the Phillies game tonight.
Hi Stacey!
