This BLOG is making me FAT!

If you know me, I am always thinking about food. Where are we going to dinner? What am I making for dinner? When can we have a dinner party so I can create a menu? When is Thanksgiving again, so I can prepare the meal?

Now that I have this blog, I am even more food obsessed. Since I have started blogging about food, I feel pressured to create even more recipes and better meals than usual.

Well, my shorts are tight, no kidding. I am leaving for Paris in 2 weeks and plan on eating 6 meals a day while there, so have to be at my fighting weight so I can indulge in EVERY LAST MORSEL that The City of Lights has to offer (last time I smuggled poached pears, canned pates and a loaf of raisin bread in my luggage thru customs. shhhh).

So, the next couple of posts are going to be healthy, lower fat meals.
Is it possible?

PS Obviously, that is not me in the photo, but a photoshopped, distorted image of Pamela Anderson!

Between trying new ice cream flavors on vacation and the Daring Baker's challenge this summer has been diet hell. Sneak me through some cheese and macaroons.

At first I thought it was Stiffler's mother! Anyway, I know what you mean girl--we are leaving for Vegas next Tuesday and I'm going to Mario's new place Carnevino and Mesa Grill at least once. Have a great trip.

Thank goodness it isn't just me. Here I thought it was a mere coincidence a few months ago when I started the whole endeavor...

this post made me laugh (and get a bit jealous--Paris!!!) but I understand the struggle for balance as a food blogger. I love to create food and write about it and share it with others, but I do not want my life to revolve around food. You've done a brilliant job coming up with lighter concoctions--I've loved them. Say hello to dear Paris from me.

Dear Stacey,
As a Parisian, I just LOVED a lot the description of your trip in Paris. The way you talk about these days just means that, beyond cultural differences, some people may find what is nice in a different city from a different country, and forget about what may be offending because different... Just stay forever the way you are, open-minded...

I say moderation in everything..Going on a trip that has great foodie places, we will take it one day at a time, I am not gonna eat oatmeal the whole trip, we went to the biggest fair (touted in Washington state) they used to have a grea BBQ place it was just okay after a big building burned to the ground, they raised the prices and took lots of the food away, could only get a tiny piece of the sweet corn, beans were spicy a tablespoon no less the BBQ Chicken good what little there really was, they threw in a great pickle, but the clinker was the nearly $4.00 for a drink and $3.00 for water drink was soft drinks we don't drink soft drinks, my hubs ran to the car outside the fair, it was free opening day with cans of food for the hungry and retrieved both of our icy cold water and put them in a bag and got to me then I ordered..We are not going to that fair again, chintzy is chintzy!!!!!!!!!!! When we travel we eat well and always get the appetizers and water and when it is evening time we just get salads and a nice dessert..One can enjoy one's self if one has control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
