A Kitchen in Italy w/ Mimi Thorisson

Cooking and Eating (and drinking!).....it seems that is all I do lately!

I've been to 6 countries in 2025!......all with groups of like minded men and women who love to cook, drink good wine, learn about different cuisines and just enjoy life.

Last week I had the privilege of spending a few glorious days in the beautiful city of Turin (Torino) with Mimi Thorisson to celebrate the launch of her new cookbook "A Kitchen in Italy, a Year of Family Meals & Celebrations".

We met in the mornings and evenings at iconic Torino bars, cafes and restaurants, and during the afternoons, we shopped at the market for gorgeous produce: chicories, persimmons, winter artichokes, cheeses and Piedmontese beef and pork. 

  

Then back to Mimi's idyllic kitchen, where we leisurely cooked lunch together, drinking champagne and the best wines of the region, laughing and enjoying the beautiful Italian surroundings.  Pure heaven.

Guests from around the world quickly became friends (as we always do on these retreats).  

A great way to kick off the holiday season!!
