Stacey in Paris

For those of you who have been following me since the inception of this blog (2008) know my love for Paris is real.

I go at least once a year, and though my French is terrible, I have made it my second home in a way.

I know the city pretty well by now, and have made long lasting relationships and friends, so I feel very comfortable traveling solo.

I rent an apartment each year, usually the same one, in my favorite neighborhood overlooking the Palais Royal Gardens, close to the Louvre and the Left Bank, but also closer to the 2nd and 9th arrondissement.

I walk 7-10 miles a day and make sure I eat at least 2 pastries a day.   I drink wine at lunch and dinner and take it all in!  You only live once!

This trip I stayed in Paris for 1 month!   I went solo for the first time, because I was working with My French Country Home as a co-host to a great group of women touring Paris and Normandy.

We visited private chateaus and gorgeous gardens; Giverny (Monet's garden); antique markets, and the best local restaurants......a privatized cruise with champagne up and down the Seine and the best of everything!  A trip of a lifetime!

Then onto Paris, solo, where I cooked with French chefs, promoted small businesses, visited museum exhibits and did my usual thing........drank A LOT of wine, and felt so grateful to wake up everyday in Paris.

I will be announcing a tour in Provence for September 2026 if you would like to join me, just send me a message!

Life is short, take the trip.   You won't regret it.
