All Aboard! Box Car Bar & Grill
I am very excited.
A place close to my home has opened where I can actually have an interesting cocktail (Bee's Knees!) and a great burger and salad in a beautiful setting, in a real live train station.
Box Car Bar & Grill opened last week inside the Short Hills, NJ train station!
By day, the big room with old oak benches is for commuters on their way to the city. But when the sun goes down, the ticket booth closes and the pillows and lanterns come out.
The once neglected, historic baggage room is now a big sexy bar with flat screen tvs and high top tables.
There is outdoor seating when the weather permits.
Take a bite of one of the many artisanal pizzas and watch the train go by.......
Box Car is a wonderful addition to this otherwise sleepy suburban town.
I love the concept and love the space even more.
