Weekly Garden Update

Militant Community Garden Update:

We had our first harvest yesterday! We had all these lovely French breakfast radishes!

The only thing to do with them was to swipe toasted bread with Irish butter and sprinkle with Maldon sea salt and call it a day. (I also stuck them in Bloody Mary's).

It looks like next week we will have a bumper crop of spinach and maybe some onions!

and the good thing is that no one yelled at us for leaving the gate open.

bonjour stacey -- just back from paris and enjoyed more than a few radish with butter sandwiches -- a few with cornichons and smoked boar sausage from all my favorite places...

this complex simplicity is what i love most. hope you are well. tell all the Parsippany-ites I said hello at the reunion!

i miss my breakfast yogurt already...

I made your radish and herb butter sandwiches last year and everyone went crazy for them! I bet they are even better with homegrown produce!

They look so delicious.
Wondering what's on the toasts behind them?

Really, is there anything better than this? Have been enjoying radishes on buttered baguettes with fleur de sel and rosé on the patio. (Almost) feels like the south of France.
