Random Bites in April
After school snacks consisted of little tartines of pate de canard (smuggled in the luggage from Paris!), Dijon mustard and cornichon pickles. So sneaky and good.
My husband surprised me and set up a storage shelving unit in my basement for my extra "stuff" to get it out of his way (who needs jewelry, when you have a shelving unit?).
Here is a great idea from Sarah.
That packaged Naan bread is so good. The garlic flavor, plain or whole wheat, I love them all. They make a great weeknight pizza whether you're desperate or not.
Spread some tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, some fresh herbs and your favorite topping over the Naan flatbreads. Bake on a cookie sheet at 400F for 10-12 minutes
Instant success.
I found a great way to sharpen my knives and IT REALLY WORKS!
Turn a regular ceramic coffee mug upside down, and using the unglazed rim, glide your knife back and forth a few times and your knives will be sharp like new!
It works better than my sharpening steel and is so easy!
Watch this video and try it!

Would it be wrong to make that naan pizza for breakfast? It looks perfect!
We use the Naan bread often for pizzas. I even made one with smoked salmon - a recipe from Jacques Pepin - that I have on my site. I'll be giving your versions a try, maybe even today 'cause it's dreary and pizza always perks up everything.

Yesterday, I attended a seminar on salads, and the chef showed us that trick... who knew? Naan bread is on my list of things I want to earn how to make, too!
PS: Been out of town since Friday. How I missed my TGIF happy hour!
