Manwich: Filet of Beef Sandwich

If Ina can put a filet mignon sandwich in her best selling cookbook, then I can certainly include something so basic on my blog, right?

No recipe necessary.
We made these fantastic sandwiches with the leftover beef tenderloin from New Year's.

Instead of Ina's yummy Gorgonzola sauce and arugula, I made a horseradish mayo by combining Hellman's mayo (they should pay me royalties for the number of times I mention their brand of mayonnaise!) with prepared horseradish.

I spread the horseradish mayo on good 7 grain bread. Piled on the greens and a good thick slice of the beef tenderloin!

Man, was that good! I guess that's how the term "manwich" came about!

You know, even when Ina makes something really simple, I'm always sold on it. Horseradish mayo sounds fantastic.

can't go wrong here! I made a soup out of my leftover prime rib. My hubby said it was the best soup he's ever had!

Wow. That is my type of sandwich! The problem is the leftover beef tenderloin - who has leftovers when it's that good?!

Man, the best kinds of recipes are no recipes at all. Just putting something together that you KNOW is going to be awesome. I am all over this.

What a perfect sandwich - delicious!
Is that the same sandwich from the BC episode where they had a beach picnic? If so, yours looks much better.
